Circling The Greek Square

An open-ended meditation on the relations between Parmenides, Heraclitus, Plato, Aristotle (the Greek ‘square’) and philosophers such as Nagarjuna and Vasubandhu, also with reference to Badiou’s ‘Being and Event’ and Hall & Ames ‘Anticipating China’ – broadly, the topic is Being and Becoming, or Change, and takes its starting point from remarks in Heidegger’s lecture ‘Hegel and The Greeks’ on the the four words of Greek philosophy: ‘One’ (Parmenides), ‘Logos’ (Heraclitus), ‘Idea’ (Plato), and ‘Actuality’ (Aristotle).
